Known interchangeably as both Reverend and Professor Harold Boggs, he was a lifetime resident of Port Clinton, Ohio, born there in 1928, he passed away there in 2000. Professor Boggs who was blind, was the pastor of Gypsum Tabernacle Church in Port Clinton since 1973. Professor Boggs recorded extensively on Nashboro records and did sporadic releases on other labels such as Song Bird and Champ records; Professor Boggs recorded as a soloist and also recorded albums with Warner Buxton, his friend and also with his groups.
