Mozel Records
Mozel Records was a New York black gospel label. The releases on Mozel were produced by Mozel, however, i do not know who Mozel was apart from being the label owner. Originally based in NYC on release 100, moved to New Rochelle, New York by release 101, then back to New York City again for release number 102, back to New Rochelle from releases 103 to 108, from release 109 to 119 the label had moved to 159 4th Ave, Mt. Vernon, NY, then to Columbus Ave, Mt. Vernon by release 120 onwards. The label released a limited number of 45's and even fewer lp's; the 45's mostly had a blue label, except 101, 115, 116 and 117 which were purple, and 122 which was gold, although release 100- Gospel Seekers was first issued on a black label and then pressed on a blue label. Release 100 and 101 were both issued twice, with two different groups given the same catalog numbers, please note that both releases for 100 have the same songs on both the black and blue labels, yet the lead singers were different for those songs on the different colored labels, as they were from different groups.
The Modulations release on 101 is actually an r&b release.
