Ruby is a Columbia, Mississippi native, raised in Oklahoma, yet has lived in Lake Charles, Louisiana for most of her married adult life. This is the 2nd of Ruby's 4 Malaco released albums, this was Ruby's highest charted album on the gospel lp charts. Ruby did not apparently record or release her allocated album Malaco 4441 which was never formally released and would have given her 5 released albums in total for Malaco. Ruby used to perform with Rev. James Moore at her concerts until his unfortunate death.
