Rev Evans has recorded on Savoy, Jewel Records, Meek and Blackberry Records. Rev. Evans now aged more than 90 years has retired from his role as Pastor at The Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. This album is Rev. Evans' fourth album on Savoy.

Rev Evans is the founding pastor of the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, retiring as pastor of the church in 2000. Rev Evans has recorded extensively on the Jewel, Savoy and Meek labels, as well as Fellowship Records. Illinois Governor Quinn even attended Rev Evans' 89th birthday celebrations in Chicago, reflecting his far reaching influence.
